Hollywood Bowl Jazz Festival Tickets on Sale Now!

Playboy Jazz Festival at the Hollywood Bowl

Hollywood Bowl Jazz Festival tickets are on sale now. Celebrating its 42nd year, the two-day event, formerly the Playboy Jazz Festival, will take place June 25-26 at the Hollywood Bowl. In the past George Lopez took over hosting duties after Bill Cosby’s legal troubles.  However we have not seen any mention of this year’s host.  After a 2-year COVID related hiatus it will be a treat to have seven hours of back-to-back jazz.

The Playboy Jazz Festival was founded in Chicago in 1959 by the late Hugh Hefner and was first held in Chicago, Illinois at the Chicago Stadium in 1959. However, the festival did not occur again until 1979, at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles as a celebration of the magazine’s 25th anniversary. However, it was initially conceived as a one-off festival, not becoming an annual event until 1979, when it was presented for the first time at the Hollywood Bowl, a 17,500-seat venue that has occupied a natural amphitheater in the Hollywood Hills since its opening in 1922. The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association began presenting the festival in 2014.

Hollywood Bowl Jazz Festival tickets are on sale now and start at $26 for seats at the top of the Bowl. This is truly a concert where every seat is a party.  Get your tickets now. The Hollywood Bowl Jazz Festival is produced by the Los Angeles Philharmonic which means concert goers may bring their own alcohol into the theater.
