Chick Corea has been melding progressive jazz with Latin rhythms and textures for decades. For his Grammy^®-winning new album, Antidote, the pianist gathered an expert eight-piece band – including sensational singer Rubén Blades – to pursue a flamenco-inflected sound that harkens back to his classic 1976 album My Spanish Heart. Opening the evening is veteran Cuban group Los Van Van, who invigorated post-revolution Cuba with their “songo” sound, bringing together the traditional Afro-Cuban music of the island with rock and R&B.
