The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Concert Is Coming to the Hollywood Bowl

Nintendo fans, mark your calendars. The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Concert is coming to the Hollywood Bowl on Wednesday, August 25, 2027, at 8:00 PM.

The Hollywood Bowl Orchestra will perform music from four decades of one of Nintendo’s most beloved video game franchises.

For Zelda fans in Southern California, this promises to be a special night at the Bowl.

The concert is part of a worldwide tour celebrating the 40th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda. The original game made its debut in Japan in 1986.

The 2027 tour includes performances in cities around the world. Stops include Chicago, London, Melbourne, Dallas, Seattle, Houston, New York and Los Angeles.

What to Expect

The 40th Anniversary Concert will celebrate music from throughout The Legend of Zelda series.

Nintendo says the program will feature nostalgic favorites and modern melodies from the franchise. That gives the orchestra an enormous musical library to draw from.

The Zelda series has produced memorable music since the original game debuted in 1986. Later games expanded the musical world of Hyrule even further.

The series includes classics such as A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, The Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. More recent adventures include Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

Nintendo has not announced a complete setlist. Therefore, we don’t yet know which games or individual pieces the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra will perform.

For longtime Zelda fans, hearing this music played by a full orchestra should be something special. Music has always helped define the characters, worlds and adventures of the Zelda series.

Tickets for the Zelda 40th Anniversary Concert

The Los Angeles performance was announced on September 29, 2026.

Ticket information for the worldwide tour is beginning to appear. Sales for several cities begin September 30.

The official Zelda concert website currently lists the Hollywood Bowl performance’s on-sale date as TBA. However, Nintendo Life reports that Los Angeles ticket sales will begin September 30 at noon local time.

Only one Los Angeles performance has been announced so far. Zelda fans interested in attending should keep a close eye on ticket information.

Hollywood Bowl Tips for Zelda Fans

If this is your first Hollywood Bowl concert, start planning how you’ll get there before concert night.

Getting to the Bowl can be one of the trickiest parts of the experience. Driving directly to the venue isn’t always the best option.

We generally recommend the Hollywood Bowl Park & Ride or Bowl Shuttle. Both options can help you avoid stacked parking and post-concert traffic around Highland Avenue.

Plan to arrive early as well.

Gates are scheduled to open at 6:00 PM. That’s two hours before the 8:00 PM concert. You’ll have plenty of time to find your seats, grab something to eat and enjoy the Bowl before the music begins.

Few video game franchises have remained popular for four decades like The Legend of Zelda.
