Adam Lambert will take on the role of Judas in the Hollywood Bowl’s three-night production of Jesus Christ Superstar, running August 1 through 3. Cynthia Erivo will star as Jesus. Producers have not yet announced the rest of the cast.
Tony Award winner Sergio Trujillo (Ain’t Too Proud) directs the production of the classic rock musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. The staging promises to be one of the most anticipated events of the Bowl’s summer season.
The announcement of Lambert comes just one day before single tickets go on sale for the Bowl’s full 2025 season of LA Phil-produced shows. Tickets for this production and other Phil performances become available Tuesday at 10 a.m. PT. Package deals for multiple shows have already been offered.
With Lambert and Erivo leading one of the greatest rock musicals of all time, Jesus Christ Superstar could become one of the season’s fastest sellouts. Fans may want to act quickly once tickets go live.
Seating Chart
The Hollywood Bowl seating chart is worth reviewing before you buy tickets. The layout is unique. It includes bench seating, box sections, and areas like the Pool Circle, Garden, Terrace, and Promenade levels.
Each section offers a different view of the stage. Sightlines, elevation, and spacing vary throughout the venue. Some seats feel close and intimate. Others provide a wider, elevated perspective.
Take a few minutes to study the seating map. Compare sections and check seat views when possible. A little planning helps you avoid surprises and choose the best spot for your night under the stars.
