Mattel, Inc. has announced that the live-to-film concert experience will arrive in the area on Saturday, July 27. The performance features the Barbie Land Sinfonietta, which provides the musical backdrop for the event. Tony Award-winning conductor Macy Schmidt will lead the orchestra.

The ensemble is composed entirely of women, with the majority being women of color. Together, they bring the film’s score to life in a powerful and visually engaging symphonic experience.

Merchandise

The event will also feature specialty limited-edition Barbie merchandise, themed photo opportunities, and more. Organizers will project the film onto a large LED screen above the Barbie Land Sinfonietta. As the movie plays, the orchestra will perform the score live in sync with the action.

Hollywood Bowl season subscription packages are available now at hollywoodbowl.com and single tickets for this performance will go on sale on May 7.

Awards

Barbie earned eight Academy Award nominations, including a nomination for Best Picture. The film’s music also received major recognition. It secured 11 Grammy Award nominations.

Billie Eilish and Finneas won Song of the Year and Best Song Written for Visual Media for “What Was I Made For?” Their win further cemented the soundtrack’s cultural impact.
